Tried my hand at making a chicken-in-a-nest hat. What do you think? Implication working??

Golden Globes! (and more chickens)

I found these lovely gold tone globes in Seattle last year. I think they make fun little hoop earrings:





I also have some new swirly grey/brown chicken earrings:



I made the colored copper french hoops for those earrings. The french hoop is my favorite style of ear wire (they fit just about every ear shape, I have difficult ears for most ear wires). I plan on making a lot more in the future! It's pretty liberating to make a supply that for years I had to buy premade.

When I finished it and held it up, I literally BAH-HAH-HAH'd. It's way too funny.

Loving what you do

I just finished an order for a custom chicken hat for a 12 year old girl who's in 4-H and loves chickens.

Orders like that are what make me really enjoy my hobby :) It's exactly why I do what I do! My perfect customer right there.

Mushrooms and chickens

I'm terrible about taking photos MYSELF and showing what I've been doing lately. Finally, an update! While I've been knitting and crocheting my hands off, I took a break to put together some small, fun, tiny things. (I'm a big supporter of awesome little gifts for $10 or less.)

I'll have these little ladies in about 6 different colors. Yellow chickens, blue chickens, green chickens...

I really want to make some funny rings with the non-matching chickens I have sitting around. Would you wear a chicken-in-a-nest ring?? (They would not be purple, it's what I had around to test a nest with.)
