Recycled/upcycled cable bracelets

My newest project are these recycled/upcycled bracelets made from old cat5 and other miscellaneous cables:








This one I've kept to wear, since there is a little visible nick in one of the white cables. I used new rubber washers, findings and clasps. I'd LOVE to find a solution for a relatively easy to use clasp that is also made of recycled material. I could probably make some continuous style bangles (no clasp) with 100% recycled material. That may be the next step in the evolution of these bracelets!

Run Free Race 2013

I HAVE to share the photos from this past weekend for Run Free Race.

On February 2, 2013, over 1000 runners from 24 countries around the world participated in the first ever worldwide fake marathon. They received race t-shirts, race bibs, and other race gear from us – the rest was entirely up to them. Over the course of the day, hundreds and hundreds of pictures were posted from all over the world. 

 My husband and our friends were the runners. JR Blackwell was the very talented photographer. 

A lack of "race" bibs led to a very silly narrative of a luchador scorned.
