Colorful colorful

Wow, it's been a while, blogger!

I've been caught up in Kickstarter fulfillment for the past month or so. We mailed out about 475 little padded envelopes full of Writers Dice...whew! A few hundred of those involved hand writing each address on a customs form. It was a pain in the hand for a little while, but it was worth it. We're selling a limited number of the remaining dice on etsy, so check them out!

I haven't had too much time to work on anything brand new, but I can at least share a couple photos of this maybe-too-colorful necklace that has remained unfinished for a while now.

colorful!

colorful!

Too crazy? I can't decide. Perhaps I should just finish it off and wear it and see how I feel about it!

My favorite thing to make

My favorite Thing to Make will always be free-form-esque necklaces from a unique, limited stash of funky beads.

I had enough left over to throw together a chunky stretch bracelet to match.

I really love clasps not made of metal. I think this one is glass.

No Clasp Cuff Bracelet

This Wednesday, I'll be teaching the basic spiral herringbone/n'debele technique, to produce one of these babies:

Color scheme and dangley do-das are up to the student.

And yes! It will stay on your wrist without a clasp. Super cool.

Green and brown cluster necklace

While trying to come up with a fun class idea for basic even-count peyote stitch (other than making the run of the mill bracelet), I made this:

Cluster2

It's many strands of seeds, pearls, garnet and pyrite bundled together in the back with a tube of seeds.

GreenCluster

I only had 15's in a color I liked to work with. It took a while and I will modify the project for a class, but I think it would be fun to make something similar with larger seeds for the tube.

I decided to add something decorative to the back as well. It sort of reminds me of a crown. It was a fun experiment!
